Reimagining the live selling experience for businesses and consumers

CONTEXT

Identify a niche user group who could benefit from a carefully targeted design for a desktop video conferencing system.

 

MY ROLE

I worked in a team with three other students. I was involved in user research and product design. As an extension of this project, I developed high fidelity screens in my own time.

INSIGHT

Sellers find administrative work a pain.

Administrative processes such as collating orders and payment, for a live stream are troublesome and error prone.

LIVE assists sellers in preparing for the live stream. Processing orders, tracking orders, payment and providing sales insights can all be done on one platform.

 

INSIGHT

Buyers have trouble purchasing products during livestreams.

Obtaining product information during a livestream is difficult as sellers verbally relay information and once a user misses the information it is hard to obtain it again.

LIVE improves the purchasing process by providing product information that is easily retrievable during a stream. It automates the payment process for the buyer.

 

INSIGHT

Sellers desire for more interaction with their customers.

Livestreams limit the interaction between buyer and seller. Interaction is in the form of texts and can be easily missed as the seller has plenty to manage during the livestream.

LIVE provides a deeper interaction during a livestream by allowing verbal communication controlled by the seller. Ensuring deeper connections while mediated by a screen.
